Provides comprehensive primary care for patients across the full spectrum of ages using sub-specialty consultation and hospitalization, as appropriate. Provides instruction to the medical assistant staff in procedures and rationale, when appropriate. Utilizes Electronic Medical Record (GE-Centricity) on a daily basis. Develops adult protocol and patient education material as needed. Participates in quality assurance committee, as needed. CME - Attends ground rounds and conferences on a regular basis. The Medical Director will assign additional responsibilities as needed.

Licensed Practical Nurse: The LPN is responsible for assessing and triaging patients and providing support to physicians when taking patients' history in either English or Spanish.  He/she will perform certain lab tests, i.e., peak flow measurements, dipstick urinalysis, finger stick blood tests, PPDs, pregnancy and strep screens as well as phlebotomy.  The LPN will also assist in emergency care and first aid procedures, and administer immunizations and medications.
